Now sold to Mike, in Maryland! This will be his second Sprite, he had last had a Sprite in 1969! Congratulations!!!
Here’s a nice 1960 Bugeye driver that’s ready to enjoy! Come for a drive with me in the new video posted below!
We have just completed a major engine-out service that included a new clutch, new rebuilt transmission and new timing chain and gears, as well as new seals and gaskets. Now the car purrs, and the transmission shifts beautifully!
I recently found this Bugeye in a warehouse, where it was parked year ago, collecting dust and waiting for a new clutch. Now that this work is all done, the car is great to drive and ready for a new home! We’ve also just freshened all systems with new front brakes and wheel cylinders, replaced the radius arm bushings, properly shimmed the steering column, tuned the engine and adjusted the valves, all to prepare the car for the next owner. The car has also been completely rewired to stock specs, the entire wiring harness is also new, an excellent reproduction of the original.
Silver and burgundy is a knock-out color combo and we have brightened it up with a new carpet kit and matching new interior panels, door pockets and a matching ever-flex tonneau. A good black top is also included (a matching new red one is also available) and original side curtains for rebuild are also included.
AN5L 23910 is a very solid car with recently repaired floor panels. The car has a strong 948 engine mated to the rebuilt original smooth case transmission as mentioned above. The flip-forward nose is a nice addition since it makes engine access a delight. We fit nice leather hold down straps. Tires are nearly new radials, another bonus! This week we fit a new fuel tank and pressure tested the fuel sender, so it is ready to go.
This is a great driving stock Bugeye you can enjoy right now, at a very reasonable price! $17,495. Call or email with questions, or if you are ready to take this car home!
