If you’re looking for an exceptional Bugeye here’s another great choice available now from Bugeyeguy.com. This is a fully restored car that looks like a brand new Bugeye! I have posted some new photos below so you can see how handsome this car really is. It is one of the nicer Bugeyes we have had, and it’s available at a great price!

This is the perfect car for anyone who wants an excellent fully restored car that feels brand new. Iris is ready to win a show for you this weekend!

This car underwent an extensive restoration 2003. The total investment in the restoration was more than $38K which includes all rust repair, paint and about $10,000 in new parts. I have added a video at the end of this listing that shows the amazing pile of receipts that come with this car.

The receipts document this massive small car restoration, including everything that was done to car, and just about every part was replaced. You can also see that the rib case transmission was rebuilt, and so were the upgraded 1.25 inch Hs2 SU carbs fit to the car. They’re slightly larger for better performance. And the car accelerates beautifully, quite quickly for a 948 engine. No need to upgrade to a 1275!

Iris has only been driven a few thousand miles since everything was restored and she still looks fresh. Everything works great and engine compression is excellent at 160psi across all cylinders.

The underside is immaculate and very well-restored as well-see the photos below.

The interior is extremely nice, with everything new. The seat cushions were replaced when the seats were recovered, so the seating is particularly plush! She also has an excellent new top and side curtains, all custom fit to the car.

We’ve just changed the master cylinder to a sleeved and upgraded unit, and we’ve renewed all hydraulic components that have perished from minimal driving since the restoration. We’ve also further restored the dashboard with the addition of a correct original choke cable and washer pump.

All this car needs is a new home and more exercise! She is ready to go!

Her whitewalls are bias plys just like the originals. I actually like bugeyes with whitewalls more and more. They look quite stunning on bugeyes and add a very nice contrast.
