1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mark 1 BN7 two-seat roadster for sale!

Here’s a great 1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mark 1 for sale, with the correct engine, overdrive transmission and rare 2-seat configuration. The transmission was just completely rebuilt, as was the overdrive, by one of the best rebuilders in America. There are fewer than 50 miles on this restored gearbox.

If you are new to big Healeys, you might not know that most of the 1960 production run (and most 3000s in general) were 2 + 2 cars, and that fewer than 3000 BN7 two seaters were built. As such this is a rare and valuable car, that is sure to appreciate. It’s not hard to understand why–2+2 just isn’t as sleek or sexy as the two-seat roadster configuration, so this is a great car to own!

This particular car was extensively restored in Georgia. All the mechanicals are excellent. The engine is strong with no smoke and great oil pressure. A spin on oil filter kit was fit, as was a high torque starter. She roars to life on demand, and has the exceptional sound of a big Healey, as you can hear in the video below.

The underside of this car is fantastic. Any rust was removed, and new floors and outriggers were fit as needed, and done with precision. The underside is clean and very well restored, with the exception of the muffler, which has some surface rust, but still sounds great.

The paint is a bit amateur. Metallic silver was used, and the metallic didnt flow correctly, so the paint has some variations and swirls. The car looks great from 10 feet, and the silver with black coves is stunning, but upon close inspection, the silver could use a sand and respray for exceptional results. As such this is a car for someone who wants a particularly desirable big healey at a budget price. All the hard stuff is done. Use and enjoy without stress, or strip and repaint the top portion of the car… either way, this is a great car at a great price!

She comes with excellent side curtains and top, and an older tonneau. Tires are great. Front disk brakes are fit, as was standard on all BN7s. This is a really fun car, and it’s just a delight to look at. Call or email for pricing!
